Frame-Ups Windows Ltd - Sliding Sash Window Specialists

"An honest review after spending 13 grand. Good quality windows at a good price, lazily and carelessly installed. The good bits: the windows are nicely made and for a price that beat any other quote we found, especially given that they were made from accoya. James and his team made a real effort to get them looking how we wanted with more delicate moulding bars and the finish is nice. The not so good. The installation was rushed; this meant that not enough time was taken to get the hanging right. Several windows are so heavy my other half can't open them. Many don't stay open unless you prop them. Window hardware is often not straight, in places not even screwed in. Some window don't open more than a quarter of the way. The work to put them in was also messy, with damaged wood being filled with caulk instead of filler, other places not painted or finished, and walls around the window frames cracked, and requiring replastering and repainting. When I raised these issues, I was first told they were my problem to solve, and then later, once I found stuff after paying, I was just straight ignored until I gave up. My advice - still use them, but don't pay a penny until stuff is properly finished."

"Beautifully crafted and restored windows, Frame Up windows met all our requirements for restoring our windows. Would highly recommend"

"We have used Frame Ups twice now and have been really impressed with the quality of the service and the wooden sash windows. The installation team were quick and clean, fitting 3 windows (including a large bay) within a day.! Would thoroughly recommend, as you are getting proper wooden sash windows with double glazing and excellent soundproofing too."

"We used Frame Ups to install wooden sash windows and a bifold door. They arrived to give a quote, measured up and we promptly received a very reasonable quote. The fitters were very friendly and the windows and door look fantastic. After about a year, some adjustments were needed and they responded quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend Frame Ups to anyone that needs new doors or windows and will not hesitate to use them again."

"Highly highly recommend Frame Ups! We needed all the windows in our house replacing and wanted timber as it's a beautiful old house. We got three quotes and Frame Ups were far and away the best price. We also loved that you could go and see where the windows are made and see the craftsmanship. The installation process was very smooth and the windows look perfect. We have had so many compliments from our neighbours about them! We are delighted with the result, thank you to all at Frame Ups!"
